Born from an Edelweiss
When Blary was just a little kid, she remembers how her dad used to take his camera to every family trip. Switzerland, France, Canada and many other destinations, are the places Blary remembers the most since it was by then when she got curious about her dad’s machine.
She remembers how her dad used to take pictures of the oddest things, such as old corners falling apart in France, also like how a chef from a street-side display in Canada made chocolate on the spot and even the strangest flowers around the streets of Switzerland like Edelweiss.
One day, skiing on the slopes of Switzerland, Blary was seated on a chairlift with her father on their way to one of the steepest slopes she had ever seen. It was then that Blary asked her father, “Hey dad, why is it that when you have your camera, you take pictures of really odd things and not these beautiful views?” Her father chuckled and explained to his daughter, “Because there are probably already many cards and postcards of these landscapes, but very few people will notice the small details like how rusty this chairlift is or the red rope holding it or even every Edelweiss on the way down the slope. Those are the things people tend to forget, and they are the ones that hold the most beauty”.
That’s how she fall in love with photography, because she looked at her dad and the way he pared attention to every detail, and it was when she realised she wanted to create that type of art that not everybody could understand thank’s to the uniqueness on every particular moment, destination and feelings.
